Utterly Corrupt Bongo Invited To White House

While too much of the nation's attention is focused on Representative Anthony Weiner (D-New York) and his sex/lying scandal, President Barack Obama is at the White House welcoming one of the most corrupt leaders on earth. President Ali Bongo of the West Central African nation of Gabon is being touted by administration officials as an "important ally" while those who know his background say he is guilty of "grand theft nation".
A Perfect Storm Brewing In Iran

Yesterday Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said "The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance [Western powers] on the 22nd of Bahman [Feb. 11] in a way that will leave them stunned," (source) Today, despite the objections of the US and its allies, Iran began enriching uranium to a higher level bringing the Islamic republic closer to having nuclear weapons. Animal rights activists have been preaching for years that a vegetarian diet will do more to prevent global warming than all the other proposed initiatives combined. A recent United Nations report claims cattle-rearing generates more greenhouse gases than all transportation industries. And now in the UK, the first official recommendations for a diet that is both healthy and good for the environment has been published.
Obama's Iranian Engagement Fails

It was revealed in late September that Iran has a heavily guarded, underground uranium enrichment facility near the city of Qom Speaking at the United Nations on this revelation, President Barack Obama said "We have offered Iran a clear path toward greater international integration if it lives up to its obligations, and that offer stands. But the Iranian government must now demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law." Not surprisingly those words did not have a chilling effect on Iran's nuclear ambitions and today the Iranian government approved a plan to build 10 new uranium enrichment facilities in defiance of UN demands it halt the program. Obama's Priorities Exposed

President Obama will travel to Copenhagen late this week to support Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics. But fear not, according to White House aides his first priority is the ongoing debate in Washington over health care reform and he is determined that his trip to Denmark won't take away from that process. (source) Meanwhile Iran has tested its most advanced missiles and General Stanley McChrystal told a reporter that he has spoken to the president once in the 70 days since he took command in Afghanistan.
