Republicans Choose Carefully, Democrats Snap
By Carole on Jul 16, 2011
There's a new Gallup poll that shows 58% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents have not yet decided which candidate they will support for the GOP's 2012 presidential nomination. While some on the left (and their accomplices in the mainstream media) may use this to further their delusion that the GOP field is weak, what it actually proves is that the majority of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents are waiting to see, hear and learn which candidate is best qualified to lead the country.
Dems' Coalition Of The Conned Is Crumbling
By Carole on Oct 24, 2010
For decades Democratic candidates have only been able to win elections by dividing voters into special interest groups, making promises to serve those interests and then falling short of keeping those promises once in office. This perpetual promising has kept all those groups in the party's political pocket - call it a coalition of the compulsively conned - but after 2 years of single party rule by Democrats with virtually none of those special promises kept, the coalition is crumbling.
One Nation Underwhelmed
By Carole on Oct 3, 2010
If I paid dues to any of the organizations involved in yesterday's 'One Nation Working Together' rally, I'd be demanding a refund or at least a transportation/lodging/clothing/food voucher of equal value to what the attendees received. Chartered busses, lodging, t-shirts, boxed lunches, even pre-printed signs all provided by participating unions to those willing to spend a small part of a beautiful autumn day at the National Mall. And what did the unions get in return for their sizeable investment? Humiliated.
Obama Tries Again To Demonize His Critics
By Carole on Aug 21, 2010
In his weekly radio and internet address, President Barack Obama once again lashed out at corporate America, foreign corporations, Wall Street banks, Republicans; virtually anyone who dare speak out against him. Instead of changing course from the failed policies that have pushed unemployment high and economic indicators low, Mr. Obama is seeking to stem the tidal wave of rejection heading his way in November by blunting the impact of his critics.
Is Big Bad Blue California Turning Red?
By Carole on Jul 13, 2010
If the midterm elections were held today, Republican Meg Whitman would be the next Governor of California and Republican Carly Fiorina would be the state's next senator. According to a new CBS poll, Ms. Fiorina leads incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California) by a slim but measurable two point margin and Ms. Whitman's lead over State Attorney General Jerry Brown (D) has grown to seven points with 46% of likely voters supporting her and only 39% supporting Mr. Brown.
