Santorum Ad Hits Romney With His Own Words
By Carole on Feb 23, 2012
The buzz before last night's GOP presidential debate was that former Senator Rick Santorum could solidify his front runner status with a win and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney could be in big trouble if he lost. Well, Mr. Santorum didn't win and Mr. Romney didn't lose and that's about all the news that was made at debate #20.
NY-9 Will Vote On The Obama Agenda
By Carole on Aug 31, 2011
If there was any question that next month's special election in New York's 9th congressional district will be a referendum on President Barack Obama's policies, yesterday's New York Times endorsement removes all doubt. Not surprisingly, the left-leaning paper's editorial board has chosen to support Democrat David Weprin in the September 13 contest to replace disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner. But the reasons given for that support have little to do with the candidate's qualifications and everything to do with the Obama agenda.
What The Debt Deal Proves
By Carole on Aug 1, 2011
Ordinarily when both sides in a negotiation are unhappy with the outcome, it means a compromise has been achieved. It's obvious from the concessions made by President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats that they cannot make a reasonable case for their various positions on raising the debt ceiling. Mr. Obama keeps scolding his political opposition, demonizing Americans who already pay the lion's share of federal taxes and threatening our most vulnerable citizens with starvation and homelessness; but he and his Congressional accomplices can not explain why higher taxes, more borrowing and more government spending would improve the economic health of the country.
Take It To Us, Mr. President!
By Carole on Jul 14, 2011
The latest meeting between President Barack Obama and lawmakers regarding the nation's debt ended without any progress on a deal and a new level of animosity between those involved. According to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Virginia), "The president told me, ‘Eric, don’t call my bluff. You know I’m going to take this to the American people. He then walked out." Evidently the president believes with a few more 'yes we cans' and 'eat our peas' from him, we will support a deal that serves his own political agenda but does a huge disservice to the country.
