Shades Of Conservative Government To Come?

In his inaugural address last month, newly elected New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said, "The era of runaway spending and higher and higher taxes has not worked...Together, we can build a stronger economy. Yes, we will have to cut some programs and transform others to get our budget in balance. Yes, we will have to curb spending in municipal governments where there has been too little control. Yes, we will have to restrain State government, even as we invest to be prepared for the economic competition ahead. But we can do these things - and once again be a home for growth". (source) On Thursday he delivered and gave the entire nation a preview of what fiscally responsible leadership can accomplish.
Freeze! It's The Latest Obama Con

Since the Massachusetts special election, every day seems to bring a new Obama con; some grand and empty gesture made in an attempt to fool the American people into thinking the president is listening and moving away from his radical agenda toward a more reasonable method of governing. He's not and the latest proof is the news late Monday that he will ask Congress to freeze spending for some domestic programs for three years beginning in 2011. (source) While that may sound like a step in the right direction, it's just more of the same smoke and mirrors for which this administration has become famous.
