Obama's Supremely Troubling Transformation
By Carole on Mar 10, 2010 | 1 comment »
Candidate Barack Obama wanted to be a transformative president. Well, he's doing his best to transform some elements of the US government into broken down caricatures of what our founders intended them to be. The latest transformation to make the news is one observed by US Chief Justice John Roberts who said that the president's annual State of the Union address has "degenerated into a political pep rally."

I really wish this was a joke but unfortunately, it's the bottom line in Tuesday's cost estimate of the Recovery Act by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. (source)

By Carole on Dec 9, 2009 | Comment »
Yesterday's Gallup poll showed President Obama's job approval rating had dropped to 47% - the lowest of any president dating back to Truman at this stage of his presidency. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs responded by saying, “I don’t put a lot of stake in, never have, in the EKG that is the daily Gallup trend. I don’t pay a lot of attention to the meaninglessness of it.” (source)
