Now former President Bill Clinton is "helping" President Obama by dragging out the old vast, right-wing conspiracy accusation. With friends like these, who needs vast conspiracies?

In his nationally televised press conference Wednesday night, President Obama said that police acted "stupidly" in the arrest of prominent black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. On Thursday White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs said the president was not calling a Cambridge, Massachusetts police officer stupid when he criticized the arrest.
