Obama Keeps Talking But Won't Say Anything
By Carole on Sep 13, 2009 | Comment »
A prime time address on Wednesday, a rally in the midwest Saturday and yet another 60 Minutes interview tonight; it seems as if President Obama is doing nothing but talking. Of course it's all about his health care reform legislation (and he's not saying anything new on that). One would think that's the only issue we're facing; the only problem that he needs to address. It's not.
Obama Administration Continues To Ignore Reality

As I type this it is early afternoon on Saturday and hundreds of thousands of people fed up with out-of-control government spending are protesting in Washington D.C. The tea party movement is holding its largest event yet - the line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the Capitol, according to the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. (source) But when asked to comment on the protest this morning, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters with a shrug, "I don't know who the group is." (source)
Obama Defense Derangement Syndrome

In 2003 a political phenomenon emerged known as Bush Derangement Syndrome or BDS. The term was coined by conservative columnist and psychiatrist Charles Krauthammer who defined it as “the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency - nay - the very existence of George W. Bush." (source) Many expected that the next political syndrome to take hold would be one similar to BDS but affecting those who oppose the new president. Instead, most of the same people who suffered from BDS have been stricken with the even more dangerous Obama Defense Derangement Syndrome (ODDS). Apparently it is not the shift of power that results in derangement but rather the susceptibility of the same group of people, mainly liberal Democrats, to these types of syndromes. Do you or someone you know suffer from ODDS? Answer the following questions to find out now:
Power To The Fishies!

The Obama administration is asking for your help! On an official White House blog, President Obama's Director of New Media Macon Phillips asked those who see an email or website that seems "fishy" to send it to a White House e-mail address. (source) I can only imagine the deafening outcry if any other administration had publicly encouraged American citizens to alert the government regarding any "fishy" speech.
It's Time For Commitment Not Plausible Deniability

As we watch the people of Iran protest against their ruthless and often lethal government, I'm thinking about two statements by two US presidents:
"All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: the United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you." President George W. Bush, January 2005 (source)
