Toomey Has Not Yet Begun To Fight

The mainstream media is crowing today about a new poll that shows US Representative Joe Sestak (D-Pennsylvania) has gained ground in a hypothetical Senate race against the presumptive Republican nominee Pat Toomey. That would be great news for Democrats were it not for two facts: Mr. Sestak isn't in the race yet and Mr. Toomey hasn't even started running.

Senator Arlen Specter's (D-Pennsylvania) political career may be over even before the November mid-term elections. The death blow to his almost 30 years in the US Senate could come from a Democratic primary challenger because Senator Specter foolishly decided to make the race for the party's nomination about honor and he may just come up short.
Djou Expands Hawaiian Special Election Lead

Republican Charles Djou has increased his lead in Hawaii's First Congressional District with less than three weeks before the mail-in, winner-take-all special election. In a new poll, Honolulu City Councilman Djou leads with 36% while former Congressman Ed Case (D) has 28% and state Senate President Colleen Hanabusa (D) trails the pack with 22%. 13% remain undecided. Obama's Approval Drops But His Agenda Marches On

President Barack Obama's approval rating has dropped to an all-time low of 44% according to the latest Quinnipiac Poll released this morning. (source) But even though his numbers have dropped since signing his unpopular health care reform bill and the political future of his policy looks bleak, the president and his accomplices plan to push ahead with the far-left agenda the American people obviously do not want.
Crist Admits Independent Bid Possible

Florida Governor and Republican candidate for US Senate Charlie Crist was asked today about an Independent bid should he lose the upcoming Republican primary to Marco Rubio. His response: "I'm not thinking about that today. We'll look at that later on." (source)
