Obama's Ridiculously Small Idea
By Carole on Jan 13, 2012
This morning President Barack Obama stood before the cameras in an election-year attempt to claim he wants to shrink the size of the federal government and lower spending. According to the administration, his new proposal to merge six trade and commerce agencies would save $3 billion over the next 10 years and eliminate 1,000 to 2,000 jobs. Great headline unless you consider that since taking office, Mr. Obama has increased the federal workforce (excluding Census and Postal workers) by 7%; adding more than 144,000 to the federal payroll.

Congressman and perpetual presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-Texas) defended his less than mainstream positions and his age today by stating "It's the ideas that count" and "I endorse young ideas." All true but what the Republican Party needs in a nominee and what the country needs in a president is mature ideas and strong leadership.
Oh We Get It, Mr. President
By Carole on Jan 21, 2010
For the past year President Obama and his Congressional accomplices have increased government spending by trillions of dollars, tried to increase it by trillions more and through it all proudly acknowledged their ability to spend the taxpayers' money at will. Now after losing their filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and therefore the ability to pass virtually any spending measure they want, things are changing. No, they won't stop trying to spend our money on their job killing, deficit raising pet projects. But they will change what they say while they're doing it. If the president has his way, the American taxpayers are still going to get screwed but evidently now he'll take more time explaining why.
