Imagine if on the night Paul Revere made his famous ride, the colonists cursed him softly, rolled over and went back to sleep. Then imagine that the red coats were able to stop the Revolution even before it began and all those would be revolutionaries blamed Mr. Revere. That alternate reality came to mind today when I tuned into CBS's Face the Nation. David Axelrod, President Barack Obama's chief re-election strategist, appeared on the program and referred to the US credit rating downgrade as "essentially a tea party downgrade."
Graham Not As Special As He Thought

Did Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) really believe he was special? Did he think he was the one and only person who could sell his political soul to the Obama machine and not get thrown under it the first time it served the administration's purposes? In the past few days he has learned he's no less expendable to the president and his cronies than any incumbent Democrat who has sacrificed their career for the Obama agenda.

No Civilian Trials For 9/11 Terrorists?

White House advisers are reportedly ready to recommend a major policy reversal regarding the trial of admitted 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and four of his accomplices. Instead of following Attorney General Eric Holder's plan to try the terrorists in a New York City civilian court, advisers are nearing a recommendation for President Barack Obama to choose a military trial. Is Obamacare Unconstitutional?

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster and his counterparts in Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, North Dakota, Texas and Washington state are probing the constitutionality of the bribe given to Senator Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) in exchange for his vote for Obamacare. The backroom deal which has been called the Nebraska Compromise and the Cornhusker Kickback, permanently exempts Nebraska from paying Medicaid costs that all other 49 states must pay.
