Obama's Still Ignoring The Obvious
By Carole on Sep 17, 2011
Another day another version of President Barack Obama's 'Pass This Bill' speech. This time he used his weekly radio address to push his American Jobs Act saying, "every one of you can help make it happen by telling your congressperson to pass this jobs bill right away." But he has yet to explain how his new plan can possibly work when virtually the same ideas at double the cost didn't work last time.

He was still in favor of Obamacare after it was pushed through Congress while the majority of Americans and West Virginians were against it. But now that he's facing the possibility of losing his Senate bid because voters believe he would be nothing more than a rubber stamp for the unpopular Obama agenda, Candidate Manchin is suddenly in favor of repealing at least some of the new law.

When word spread last month that federal subpoenas had been issued to West Virginia Governor and Democratic Senate candidate Joe Manchin's office, there was speculation as to whether a scandal was brewing that could affect the governor's bid to replace the late Senator Robert Byrd (D-West Virginia). At the time, the brief flash of media coverage was dampened by leaks that it was allegedly only the state's Department of Highways that was being targeted for investigation but new information and attempts to block the local media from learning even more are renewing concerns that Governor Manchin may be involved.
