Obama Bypasses Congress On Immigration Policy

In some countries citizens wake up to learn that one individual has, by decree, changed major national policy. Evidently the United States of America has become one of those countries. Despite the fact that the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors or DREAM Act failed in Congress, the Obama administration announced today that it will not deport some illegal immigrants if they meet similar requirements to those laid out in that failed legislation.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R) will be in Washington DC this week and has asked for a meeting with President Barack Obama and his Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to discuss border security and immigration. While the president and his cronies have spent the last few weeks trying to score political points by attacking Arizona's right to protect itself, Mr. Obama claims he just can't find the time to discuss the issue with the governor.

Speaking to the graduating class of Virginia's Hampton University today, President Barack Obama took another opportunity to whine about the quantity of information available to Americans: "Some of the craziest claims can quickly claim traction," in the clamor of certain blogs and talk radio outlets. "All of this is not only putting new pressures on you, it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy." (source) Let's examine a few of those crazy claims and exactly who is spreading them.
Who Gets Blamed For The Flight 253 Attack?

President Obama keeps turning up the internal heat regarding the terrorist attack on Flight 253. In both his public statements and in virtually all statements made by administration officials, the emphasis has been on a "mix of human and systemic failures" that allowed the attack to take place rather than on the Islamic terrorists - oops sorry, "isolated extremist" - who planned and carried out the attack.
