Two governors made news today as they took steps toward more fiscally responsible government and border security. Meanwhile President Barack Obama is making plans to undermine their efforts and impede their progress every chance he gets. While states' rights has always been an important issue in our nation's history, protecting those rights is rapidly becoming a matter of survival.
Obama Snubs Arizona Governor

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R) will be in Washington DC this week and has asked for a meeting with President Barack Obama and his Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to discuss border security and immigration. While the president and his cronies have spent the last few weeks trying to score political points by attacking Arizona's right to protect itself, Mr. Obama claims he just can't find the time to discuss the issue with the governor.
Phoenix Suns Take Their Politics On The Court

Tonight, the Phoenix Suns basketball team will wear special jerseys during their NBA Western Conference playoff game. The jerseys will be emblazoned with the words, "Los Suns." Is this merely an acknowledgement that it's Cinco de Mayo? A way for the team to, as Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver wrote in a statement, "honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the State of Arizona, and our nation?" Or is it the politicizing of professional sports on the issue of illegal immigration?
