Did The Real Rick Perry Stand Up?
By Carole on Nov 13, 2011
Last night's GOP presidential debate was gaffe-free leaving a frustrated mainstream media and Republican primary voters to focus on the candidates' ideas and positions on issues. With foreign policy and national security as the theme, expectations were highest for those with federal government experience but it was Texas Governor Rick Perry who had the most memorable moments of the night and, unlike in previous debates, they were memorable for all the right reasons.
Obama's Still Dividing But Not Conquering
By Carole on Oct 1, 2011
President Barack Obama has been trying to fire up some of his core constituencies as part of his re-election campaign. But our Candidate-in-Chief fell flat recently when he told the Congressional Black Caucus to "stop complainin" and when he whined to a group of Latino journalists about why he hasn't kept his promise of immigration reform. With 70 percent of precincts reporting, Mr. Turner won 53 percent of the vote compared to Democrat David Weprin's 47 percent. That was enough for the Associated Press to declare Mr. Turner the winner.

By Carole on Sep 12, 2011
Just one day before the special election to replace disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-New York), Republican Bob Turner is "poised to pull a huge upset in the race" according to Public Policy Polling, a Democratic Party-affiliated firm. The latest PPP survey shows Mr. Turner leading Democrat David Weprin by six points (47- 41), the same margin shown in last week's independent Siena Research Institute's poll.
