The far left has a new hero and the Democrats have a new headache and both are named Alan Grayson. Representative Grayson (D-Florida) took to the House floor Tuesday night and criticized Republican health care proposals as a "blank piece of paper". That's nothing out of the ordinary in the heated debate over health care reform but then he added, "If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: die quickly. That's right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick." (source)

Yesterday the United Nations presented a parade of buffoons that, were international tensions not so high, would have been comical. Perhaps when the institution was founded in 1945 if might have served a purpose. There definitely was reason to hope back then that it might. But it has failed, miserably and repeatedly, to live up to its charter "to maintain international peace and promote cooperation in solving international economic, social and humanitarian problems."
