Dems' Coalition Of The Conned Is Crumbling

For decades Democratic candidates have only been able to win elections by dividing voters into special interest groups, making promises to serve those interests and then falling short of keeping those promises once in office. This perpetual promising has kept all those groups in the party's political pocket - call it a coalition of the compulsively conned - but after 2 years of single party rule by Democrats with virtually none of those special promises kept, the coalition is crumbling.
Gay Conservative Group Targets Barney Frank And Friends

GOProud, a political organization of gay conservatives, has produced a new ad that targets Congressional Democrats including openly gay Representative Barney Frank (D-Massachusetts). The ad is the first by a national gay organization that goes after Democrats and, according to GOProud Executive Director Jimmy LaSalvia, "highlights the embarrassing and arrogant approach of Democratic leaders in Washington and reminds voters that the record of this Democratic Congress is a dismal one." For the third time in one week, Florida Governor and US Senate candidate Charlie Crist has taken two positions on the same issue. First it was whether he would have voted for Obamacare, then it was whether he will refund Republican donors' contributions since he is no longer a Republican and now it's whether he favors a Constitutional ban on gay marriage.

I've written both academically and informally on the same-sex marriage issue for about eight years and I won't be stopping until marriage rights are equal for everyone everywhere. I'm a straight Canadian female who has studied all the opposing views of same-sex marriage to find that every one is either ridiculous, selfish or both.
