Since Sunday's initial report of past sexual harassment allegations, GOP presidential contender Herman Cain's campaign has finally made a smart decision. Mrs. Gloria Cain, the candidate's wife of over 40 years, has cancelled a scheduled appearance on Friday night's edition of On the Record With Greta Van Susteren.

Ever hear the phrase "rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic?" That perfect depiction of a futile effort came to mind when I read that CNN is going to add a live studio audience to Anderson Cooper's primetime news program. Two shows with the new audience and "talk format" will be taped in mid-April and are being called "specials" to keep expectations down. But the special format will likely become the permanent format if there is an improvement in ratings. (source)

Those who are obsessed with Sarah Palin will have plenty of new opportunities to love/hate the former Alaska Governor as she has just signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel. FNC has confirmed that while Ms. Palin will not have her own regular show, she will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal and will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. The results of the presidential interview with Fox News Channel's Major Garrett are starting to leak out. The first detail: President Barack Obama says he's worried that spending too much money could throw the economy into a double-dip recession. (source It's unknown exactly what question prompted Mr. Obama to go beyond his usual promises and platitudes and actually give an answer, but it's an encouraging sign that the entire interview might be more informative than the president's usual rambling responses to softball questions.

Last month White House communications director Anita Dunn tried to marginalize the Fox News Channel by claiming it was "not really a news station" and other Obama administration officials echoed the statement. Two months ago President Obama appeared on five of the six Sunday morning talk shows. The one he missed? Fox News Sunday. Late last week Ms. Dunn left her post as White House communications director and today Fox News White House Correspondent Major Garrett will interview the president in Beijing.
