Obama's New Economic Plan Will Be More Of The Same
By Carole on Sep 2, 2010 | Comment »
President Barack Obama will speak tomorrow on the August unemployment numbers (expected to be bad) and has scheduled two big speeches next week that will focus on the economy. In other words more false claims of recovery, more finger pointing, more threats of higher deficit spending and higher taxes and more empty promises.
Let Us Bake Cake

Marie Antoinette may not be the best historical reference for the current Obama Family vs. the American people disconnect. First, there's no proof that the 18th century French queen ever actually uttered the phrase "Let them eat cake" when told the peasants had no bread. Why The Partisan Disconnect?

Why are so many Americans clinging to a failed and destructive ideology when they themselves believe it's not working in their lives?

Major League Baseball's All Star break starts after today's games have been decided. For the next few days, those players voted in by the fans or chosen by the big bosses will put on a display of their skills in a relatively meaningless endeavor. Coincidentally this week also marks the beginning of the time Congress is in session between their July 4 recess and their extended August recess. Think of it as the All Star Game for our government.
Congressman Implies Minorities Not Good American People
By Carole on Jun 25, 2010 | Comment »
During a recent meeting on financial reform, one congressman insinuated that minorities are not "average, good American people" and said he was not fighting for people that aren’t responsible, that don’t know what the hell they’re doing or don't care what they're doing." Must have been one of those awful Republicans, right? Nope, it was Representative Paul Kanjorski (D-Pennsylvania).
