Another Bad Day In Obama Land
By Carole on Oct 27, 2009 | Comment »
It hasn't been a good day for Team Obama today. Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT) just announced that he would back a GOP filibuster of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s health care reform bill. According to the Senator, "We're trying to do too much at once," Lieberman said. “To put this government-created insurance company on top of everything else is just asking for trouble for the taxpayers, for the premium payers and for the national debt. I don’t think we need it now." (source) In case there was any doubt, Senator Lieberman's statement guarantees that Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) will not have the votes he needs to get his health care reform bill passed.
Corzine Reveals Another Big Christie Secret
By Carole on Oct 26, 2009 | Comment »
In the latest desperate move by the Corzine campaign (being run by Team Obama), the incumbent governor is running an ad accusing his Republican challenger, conservative Chris Christie, of being (gasp!) a conservative! The ad states that Mr. Christie "doesn't share our values." (source) If by "our values" they mean the tax raising, high spending, deficit exploding, dollar dropping, internationally weakening, military ignoring values of the Obama/Corzine machine, then this could be the second honest statement the Corzine campaign has made in the past year (the first being that the 300+ pound Mr. Christie is overweight).
What Really Matters To Obama

It's not the election in Afghanistan that is the reason President Obama is putting off vitally important military decisions - it's the gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia. In less than two weeks voters in those states, which solidly backed Candidate Obama one year ago, are very close to electing Republican governors. If that happens, every Democrat up for re-election in the House and Senate will turn on the Obama agenda in favor of their own political ambitions. The president knows this very well and is desperately trying to avoid giving far left Democrats in those states a reason to stay home on November 3.
Why Is Team Obama Taking Over The Corzine Campaign?
By Carole on Oct 5, 2009 | Comment »
Forget his Olympic-sized defeat, the next measure of President Obama's shrinking influence will be taken in one month in New Jersey. The gubernatorial race between incumbent Jon Corzine and former US attorney Chris Christie is in the home stretch and Mr. Christie, the Republican, leads in all polls as he has for months. What does this have to do with the White House? The Obama administration is at least as involved in trying to get Governor Corzine re-elected as it is in trying to get New York Governor David Paterson to step aside.
Political Hopes Fading Fast For Democrats

Top political analyst Charlie Cook recently wrote that "the situation this summer has slipped completely out of control for President Obama and congressional Democrats". (source) Anyone who has been paying attention has got to agree and those who pay close attention are expecting double-digit losses in the House come the 2010 mid-term elections.
