Instead they got to speculate on who will be President Barack Obama's next Chief of Staff if Rahm Emanuel decides to run for mayor of Chicago now that current Mayor Richard Daley has decided not to seek a seventh term.
Yet Another Obama Embarrassment

The volcanic ash that brought European air travel to a standstill forced the cancellation of President Barack Obama's weekend trip to attend the funeral of Polish President Lech Kaczynski. As understandable as Mr. Obama's inability to travel to Krakow was, his choice of alternative activity boggles the mind. Seeing the sudden opening in his schedule, he and three companions headed to the links for a round of golf. (source)
Obama's Latest Chicago-Style Thug Maneuver

While calling for more civility and bipartisanship, President Obama is bastardizing the legislative process in a strong armed attempt to ram through Obamacare despite the will of the American people. Before his televised health care summit with congressional Republicans next week, Mr. Obama will publish his own health care plan as a privileged budget reconciliation bill according to a senior congressional aide. Time For Rahm Emanuel To Move On?

In Sally Quinn's Washington Post column this week is a line about President Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel: "Emanuel is said to have told people that the chief-of-staff role is an 18-month job and that he is considering a run for mayor of Chicago." (source) Since Mr. Emanuel is the man the New York Times called "the principal author of Mr. Obama's do-everything-at-once strategy," he might be on his way to the windy city even sooner as the do-everything-at-once-strategy has become the do-everything-wrong strategy, specifically:

Contrary to all predictions, President Barack Obama's adopted hometown of Chicago has lost its bid to host the 2016 Olympics. Chicago was eliminated in the first round of voting despite the president flying to Copenhagen to make a personal plea. Or maybe because he did.
