Is Obama Indecisive? Well, Yes And No
By Carole on Feb 13, 2010
Last summer started months of what former Vice President Cheney called the Obama administration's dithering over troop levels in Afghanistan. The long delay before President Obama decided to send the additional troops requested by his hand-picked general frustrated many and sent the wrong message to our enemies. He showed a level of decisiveness compatible with that of, to paraphrase former Governor Sarah Palin, a law professor at the lectern not a commander-in-chief. And to paraphrase former President Ronald Reagan, there he goes again.
Obama Defense Derangement Syndrome
By Carole on Aug 24, 2009
In 2003 a political phenomenon emerged known as Bush Derangement Syndrome or BDS. The term was coined by conservative columnist and psychiatrist Charles Krauthammer who defined it as “the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency - nay - the very existence of George W. Bush." (source) Many expected that the next political syndrome to take hold would be one similar to BDS but affecting those who oppose the new president. Instead, most of the same people who suffered from BDS have been stricken with the even more dangerous Obama Defense Derangement Syndrome (ODDS). Apparently it is not the shift of power that results in derangement but rather the susceptibility of the same group of people, mainly liberal Democrats, to these types of syndromes. Do you or someone you know suffer from ODDS? Answer the following questions to find out now:
Holder's Political Timing Is Everything
By Carole on Jul 12, 2009
What a coincidence! Just as President Obama's approval rating is starting to fall and both health care reform and cap & trade are being exposed as the monumental tax increases they are, Attorney General Eric Holder is considering a criminal investigation into the Bush administration's interrogation practices used on suspected terrorists. (source) Mr. Obama has repeatedly spoken against such an investigation but suddenly it's being considered just when the media and the public are starting to turn against the administration's policies.
Why Dick Cheney Is The Right Man For The Job
By Carole on May 23, 2009
In the past few months former Vice President Dick Cheney has become a major voice of the opposition to President Obama's policies. Most often on national security but also on the economy and other important issues, Mr. Cheney has defended the Bush administration, criticized the Obama administration and put forth ideas that he believes are best for the country.
So Many Words, So Little Security
By Carole on May 22, 2009
Yesterday President Obama delivered a speech that was supposed to sell his ideas on national security to the nation. He spoke at the National Archives where the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were merely props for his latest performance and his famous oratory skills were well suited to echo throughout the majestic hall. But the speech itself was not worthy of the stage - non-specific promises, incessant blaming of the previous administration and narcissistic tangents about his own life. In short, it was the kind of speech we have come to expect from this president.
