Earlier this month former President Jimmy Carter tried to blame President Obama's problems on his race saying, "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American." Now former President Bill Clinton is "helping" President Obama by dragging out the old vast, right-wing conspiracy accusation. With friends like these, who needs vast conspiracies?

In an op-ed piece in today's Wall Street Journal, would-be Health & Human Services Secretary (and tax cheat) Tom Dashle dragged out a recently deceased Kennedy, a little boy with cancer and a host of scare tactics in an effort to push for the passage of health care reform legislation. But even he knows he's selling something the American people don't want to buy. That's why he brought up the prospect of reconciliation - a nice sounding word that in this context means ramming hugely unpopular change down the throats of the American people.

When former president Bill Clinton completed his "private mission" to North Korea to gain the release of two American journalists, many wondered what concessions were made to the communist regime in exchange for their freedom. Some suggested the fact that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il got a visit from and a photo opportunity with a former US president was enough of a quid pro quo but others have been waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe it has.
Clinton Heading To North Korea To Negotiate Reporters' Release

If you're thinking Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, think again. It's former President Bill Clinton who, according to a South Korean news agency is on his way to Pyongyang to negotiate the release of two detained American journalists. (source) The female journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, have been held by North Korean authorities since March 17. They were convicted in June of illegally entering North Korea and sentenced to 12 years of hard labor.
