Same Spin, Different Delivery Method For Blumenthal
By Carole on May 25, 2010
Yesterday Connecticut Attorney General and Democratic Senate Candidate Richard Blumenthal's e-mailed claim that he had not been "clear or precise" about his military service, that he had made mistakes and was sorry did not ring true. But rather than finally admit he lied and was sorry for his lie, Mr. Blumenthal decided it was the method with which he delivered his spin that was the problem.
Blumenthal Misspeaks His Way Through An Apology
By Carole on May 24, 2010
Caught lying about his Vietnam era service (he claimed to have served "in Vietnam" when he did not), Connecticut Attorney General and Democratic Senate Candidate Richard Blumenthal has now misspoken his way through an alleged apology. Former president Jimmy Carter has spent a good portion of his post-White House years taking anti-Semitic stances on many issues but now he is suddenly apologizing for any words or deeds that may have upset the Jewish community. "I offer an Al Het for any words or deeds of mine that may have done so." An Al Het is a prayer which signifies a plea for forgiveness.

That's nothing out of the ordinary in the heated debate over health care reform but then he added, "If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: die quickly. That's right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick." (source)
Suddenly Obama Has Forgotten How To Apologize
By Carole on Jul 25, 2009
He can travel throughout the world apologizing with ease for every American action since Washington crossed the Delaware, but when he calls a dedicated police officer stupid for doing his job, President Obama suddenly forgets how to say "I'm sorry." As he hemmed and hawed through a surprise appearance at the daily White House briefing, he said his words had been "ill chosen" and he could have "calibrated those words differently" but didn't back down from their meaning.
