And they're off! Alaskan officials have just released 24,000 pages of e-mails sent and received by Sarah Palin during her first 21 months as Governor of that state. Now the digging starts as once noble journalistic institutions are asking their customers to do their job for them. Is this an indication of the media's future or is it another example of media bias against Mrs. Palin?

With little doubt about the outcome of tomorrow's elections, the speculation turns to what the reaction will be to the historic GOP victories. Will President Barack Obama shift toward the political center? Will all those shiny new Republican lawmakers keep their campaign promises to shrink government and control spending? Will those in the Tea Party movement remain engaged and involved once this battle has been won? All those answers will come in time but what we'll probably find out instantly is will the mainstream media abandon its self-assigned role of liberal cheerleader and return to honest reporting?

In a take-off on the popular Old Spice Guy commercials, the latest offering from the Miller campaign manages to amuse potential voters, inform them of Mr. Miller's stellar qualifications and remind them that one of his opponents is a certified loser.

In this election season when voters are angry at those in power for ignoring their will and opinions, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) removed any doubt that she is part of the problem not the solution. Her loss in last month's GOP primary to Tea Party favorite Joe Miller sent a clear message that Alaskans want more conservative representation for their state. But unwilling to listen to that message, Senator Murkowski has decided to mount a write-in campaign in a desperate attempt to save her career.

What do Democrats and their accomplices in the mainstream media do when a majority of Americans disapprove of their performance and reject their ideas? Rather than honestly examine their performance and ideas, they simply dismiss the disapproval/rejection and re-label it fear.
