This connection between a birthday and our Fundraiser-in-Chief comes just a month after the establishment of the Obama Event Registry. That tacky little program encourages anyone who has a birthday, bar or bat mitzvah, wedding or anniversary coming up to ask their friends and family to make a donation to the president's re-election campaign instead of giving them an actual gift.
So according to Mr. Obama: If it's your birthday, give me your money. If it's my birthday, give me your money. If it's a day that ends in a y, give me your money.
No surprise his attitude toward campaigning is the same as his attitude toward governing.
