In the wake of today's dismal news on hiring and employment, the stock market is diving and pundits and politicians are blaming President Barack Obama's failed policies for what House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) called "the sad new normal." Meanwhile an exquisitely timed new ad from presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney answers the question "What will be different about a Romney presidency?"
The 30 second spot promises that from Day 1 President Romney would focus on the economy and the deficit, unleash America's energy resources and stand up to China on trade. It also points out the President Romney would put jobs first but declares that more than legislation or new policy would be "the feeling we'll have that our country's back…back on the right track."
As the Obama administration desperately tries to spin a rise in the unemployment rate, the weakest month of job growth in a year and the downward revision of the first quarter's GDP growth rate; this glimpse at real economic leadership could be devastating for Team Obama.
Yet still the president's campaign continues to demonize Mr. Romney's economic success while the American people continue to suffer the effects of the president's failures.
