Obama's Clear Path To Failure

A new poll asking various questions about President Barack Obama and presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney contains the usual questions (who would you vote for, who's more likeable, etc.) and questions about some very current issues (working women versus stay at home moms). But when it came to the candidates' economic plans for the economy, one answer was surprising.
Continued...
First, the non-surprising part: When asked "Do you think Mitt Romney has a clear path for fixing the economy or not?" 31% of respondents said yes while 58% said no and 11% didn't know. Considering that Mr. Romney has just recently and still unofficially begun his general election campaign, it is understandable that most Americans may not be familiar with his proposed economic policies or that he has not yet clearly presented them to a broad audience.
But when the same question was asked about Mr. Romney's opponent (i.e. "Do you think Barack Obama has a clear path for fixing the economy or not?") an astounding 61% said no (36% said yes, 4% didn't know).
How is it possible that after his first term in office, 61% of voters cannot see that President Obama's clear path has been and will continue to be increasing the size, scope and cost of the federal government? Yes, our Candidate-in-Chief most definitely has a clear path and he's been dragging the nation along it for almost four years. The problem is, his path leads directly toward the edge of an economic cliff and his economic policies have been abject failures.
Starting with the $800 billion plus non-stimulating stimulus bill and the attempted (and probably unconstitutional) government takeover of health care, Mr. Obama has an easily verifiable record of failed economic policies. His constant calls for tax increases on "the wealthy" are not only punitive; they are nothing more than political gimmicks designed to fan the flames of class warfare. (His much touted Buffett Rule would barely cover one week's worth of interest on our national debt.)
And yet the president, his campaign and his accomplices in the mainstream media have worked so hard to obfuscate the details and results of his economic record that 61% of these poll respondents don't think he has a clear path. Perhaps they thought that "clear path for fixing the economy" meant "ideas that have a chance of success."
The truth is Candidate Obama has a definitively clear path in mind. But President Obama has proven that that route has zero chance of leading to significant economic growth.
