GOP Gives Women Power Not Platitudes

With just one decision the likely GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has struck two solid blows against Democrats' ridiculous claim that Republicans are waging a war on women. By selecting Beth Myers to head his vice presidential selection and vetting process, Mr. Romney has both given a woman a very visible and important role in his campaign and reminded voters that that same woman was his chief of staff when he was governor of Massachusetts.

President Barack Obama's administration has been accused, even by the usually compliant mainstream media, of being a "boys’ club" and having a "woman problem." His 2008 campaign did nothing to discourage that impression as his pick to manage the VP selection process was current Attorney General Eric Holder.
So while Mr. Obama and his leftist cronies claim they are the best choice for women, Mr. Romney is actually choosing a woman to take on an extremely important responsibility. Platitudes versus empowerment. That sums up so much of the difference between these two candidates on the issues important to Americans of both genders.
