Obama's New Plan Revealed

President Barack Obama, suddenly aware that his politics and policies have done serious damage to the US economy in the 19 months he has been in office, today offered innovative and positive ideas to drastically lower government spending and replace job-killing legislation with reasonable and effective laws that encourage American companies to employ more Americans. Nah, just kidding. What he did was make another hyper-partisan speech calling for billions more in government spending and higher taxes on businesses while trying to blame others for his failures.
Continued...
As with all things Obama, the prepared speech to a Labor Day crowd in Milwaukee contained nothing that would actually relieve the economic woes of Wisconsin workers or anyone else. The president proposed another government spending program that would start with a $50 billion price tag and be only the beginning of a six-year program of transportation improvements. (source) The administration will not disclose the total cost of the program only saying it has a longer-range focus than last year's $800 billion non-stimulating stimulus bill that was supposed to keep the national unemployment rate below 8%. It is now 9.6% and expected to get even worse before it gets better.
In the same speech in which he brazenly pushed for more of his taxpayer funded failure, Mr. Obama tried to pass the blame for the current economic disaster onto Republicans saying, "These are the folks whose policies helped devastate our middle class and drive our economy into a ditch. And now they're asking you for the keys back."
House minority leader, John Boehner (R-Ohio) responded to the president's clumsy attempt to rewrite recent history by saying, "We don't need more government 'stimulus' spending. We need to end Washington Democrats' out-of-control spending spree, stop their tax hikes, and create jobs by eliminating the job-killing uncertainty that is hampering our small businesses."
A concept that even many of the president's fellow Democrats understand. It is widely believed that even with the overwhelming Congressional majorities the president has in both the House and Senate, he will be unable to push through any more of his obscenely expensive programs before the November elections. No one but Mr. Obama and a pathetic handful of other far-left ideologues still believe he can continue to ignore the will of the American people and con them even one more time.
