The man who believes that admitted terrorists who have killed thousands should be tried in civilian court, that the US federal government should sue individual states for protecting themselves when that federal government will not and that his own country is a "nation of cowards" with regard to race has been sent to Afghanistan to foster the development of that country's justice system. Two governors made news today as they took steps toward more fiscally responsible government and border security. Meanwhile President Barack Obama is making plans to undermine their efforts and impede their progress every chance he gets. While states' rights has always been an important issue in our nation's history, protecting those rights is rapidly becoming a matter of survival.

South Carolina's Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley is holding a double digit lead over her Democratic opponent, Vincent Sheheen. In the state's senatorial race, Republican Senator Jim DeMint has an even larger lead over his Democratic opponent, Alvin Greene. But SC Democrats do have the lead in pending felony charges and now financial investigations.

This weekend's G-20 summit included many world leaders...and President Barack Obama. The American president has voluntarily relinquished his leader status, at least on economic matters, by clinging to the liberal tax and spend, big government model that has failed or is failing in virtually every country that has tried it.
