While Democrats in Washington are complaining about Republican efforts to stop, repeal and replace the brand new Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (better known as Obamacare), a new poll finds that the majority of Americans want Republicans to keep on challenging parts of the bill.

When asked "Should Republicans continue to challenge the health care bill?" 62% of respondents said yes and the poll results did not mirror Sunday night's hyper-partisan vote in the House of Representatives. Not surprisingly 89% of Republicans polled agreed with the ongoing efforts to challenge the bill, but so did 41% of Democrats and 66% of Independents. (source) Clearly President Obama and his Congressional cronies can't even convince members of their own party that their "comprehensive" solution is good for the country.
In the days since the president signed the PPAC, he and his accomplices in the main stream media have been touting the few parts of the bill that most Americans agree on and conveniently ignoring unpopular and potentially catastrophic elements such as the unsustainable costs. But as this recent poll demonstrates, the American people have not been fooled by the cherry picking of elements being put on display.
Still the Obama/Reid/Pelosi machine continues to ignore any voices but their own and those of the adoring members of the liberal press. Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank, some of whose recent columns have been nothing short of love letters to Rahm Emanuel, wrote today that Republicans should fold and let go of health care legislation. Thankfully Congressional Republicans are listening to their constituents and not the liberal elites. Whether they win or lose the ongoing individual challenges, the American people will certainly remember come Election Day who represented their interests and who ignored them in favor of their own agenda.
