A Pause For Political Poetry

Here at TalkingSides.com we're taking a break from the rough and tumble world of American politics to remember one of the more genteel arts. So without further ado, we offer these snippets of lyrical verse:
There was an old lady named Nancy
Who rose to a job very fancy
But she pushed left too hard
And now we regard
Her future in DC as chancy.

Global warming once made us afraid
Al Gore almost had us all played
But we've seen through the lies
Despite his Nobel prize
And Climategate killed cap & trade.
Have you heard about poor Charlie Rangel
Whose career by a thread will now dangle?
His ethics found wanting
After ill gotten jaunting
And there's more probes in which he's entangled.
There was an old man name of Reid
The Senate was his job to lead
But instead he decided
To keep them divided
So next year a new job he'll need.
There was a young man with big ears
Who always received lots of cheers
Till he had to start working
And then he stopped smirking
Now we're screwed for another 3 years.
On Obamacare folks said don't pass
In Virginia, New Jersey and Mass.
But the Dems wouldn't listen
And kept on with their dissin'
So they'll all get a kick in the...political career as they are voted out of office in the upcoming mid-term elections.
