The next to last Senate vote to get Obamacare passed by that once-esteemed body was held early this morning. The stockings were hung by the Democrats with care and they were filled with all the right bribes to get legislation the American people do not want another step closer to President Obama's desk. Not surprisingly the president's approval rating is falling as fast and as hard as the approval rating of his signature issue.

American voters "mostly disapprove" of the plan 53-36 percent and disapprove 56-38 percent of Mr. Obama's handling of the health care issue according to a poll released today. (source) Meanwhile in the latest poll measuring the president's overall job approval, he's down to a dismal 44% of voters who say they at least somewhat approve of the his performance while 56% now disapprove. Candidate Obama promised he would change the partisan tone in Washington D.C. and, in a way, he has. No longer are our nation's legislative institutions filled with debate on the major issues of our time. Dissent has been all but crushed by the success of the Democrats' con game that won them virtually single party rule over the past 3 years. Though Republicans have used all of the procedural tools available to them to try and fight for what the people actually want, the fight is no longer between Democrats and Republicans. It is now between Democrats and the American people including many of the people who fell for the con and now realize they made a huge mistake with their votes.
There's no way to deny that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their co-conspirators are now fighting the will of the American people. And the American people are losing.
