President Obama announced this morning that he's organizing a wide-ranging White House jobs summit to "talk about how we can work together" to create jobs. The national unemployment rate is over 10%, it's been 9 months since he and his cronies pushed through a $787 billion stimulus bill that was supposed to keep unemployment below 8%, our economy continues to bleed jobs and our president thinks it's time to organize and talk. So there was no organization earlier? No plan before now?

More unsettling than that apparent admission was his statement that, "Given the magnitude of the economic turmoil that we've experienced, employers are reluctant to hire." Really? With the threat of back breaking tax increases caused by Obamacare and Cap & Trade legislation, is it any wonder that businesses are "reluctant to hire"? Forget the summit, Mr. President. You can save all that time organizing and talking by simply releasing the private sector from the effects of your proposed policies.
But wait! There's more! Mr. Obama went on to say, "We have an obligation to consider every additional responsible step that we can to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country,” And so the con game continues, while promising in front of the cameras to consider steps to improve the economic situation in this country, behind closed doors he continues to push his far left legislative agenda that will most certainly drive the unemployment rate even higher.
