How Many Chances Will Obama Get To Fail?

Early this year President Obama promised the $787 billion stimulus bill would create over 3,400,000 new jobs by December of next year. Through September of this year 49 of 50 states have lost jobs - collectively more than 2,700,000 jobs. (source) For the president to keep his promise we'll need a net gain of over 6,100,000 new jobs created in the next 15 months.

In September of 2008, Candidate Obama proclaimed, "We have seen Afghanistan worsen, deteriorate. We need more troops there. We need more resources there. I would send two to three additional brigades to Afghanistan." (source) It has been months since President Obama's hand-picked commander in Afghanistan told him thousands more US troops are needed to avoid disaster. Mr. Obama is refusing to make the call even after his own Secretary of Defense publicly said the decision can't wait.
Also during the 2008 campaign, Candidate Obama provided a policy statement to the Human Rights Campaign, the largest U.S. gay rights group, pledging to repeal the "don't ask don't tell" ban on gays serving openly in the military. But now, a year after he's won their votes, President Obama is refusing to deliver on that promise sending out his national security advisor to say the president "has an awful lot on his desk. I know this is an issue that he intends to take on at the appropriate time."
In late September of 2009, it was revealed that Iran has a heavily guarded, underground uranium enrichment facility which they had kept hidden from the IAEA. While other world leaders spoke strongly against Iran's secrecy and nuclear ambitions, all President Obama could muster was "We have offered Iran a clear path toward greater international integration if it lives up to its obligations, and that offer stands. But the Iranian government must now demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law."
Early this month the president took it upon himself to travel to Denmark to make an unprecedented presidential plea for his adopted hometown of Chicago's Olympic bid. His narcissistic speech to the International Olympic Committee not only failed to win any votes, it served as a reminder to the world that Mr. Obama will put himself and his Chicago-style first every time and ill consistently fail to deliver.
Shortly after that President Obama became the laughing stock of the world by agreeing to accept the Nobel Peace Prize which he has not earned in any way. The obvious political reasons for the award were just another reminder that this supposed leader has, in the words of the comedians at Saturday Night Live, accomplished zero, nada, zilch.
And now this community organizer who has failed at everything he's tried since he was miraculously elected president is getting close to spending another 900 billion taxpayer dollars on his vision of health care reform. With his brief and consistently awful track record, how could anyone possibly believe this will be anything but another failure of historic proportions?
