Chris Christie Reveals Big Secret

There are less than three weeks until the New Jersey gubernatorial election. With the entire nation looking to the Garden State to see how the first major election of the Obama era will go, Jon Corzine (D), the incumbent running for re-election is still avoiding discussing his abysmal record or his lack of ideas by resorting to third grade playground taunts about his Republican opponent Chris Christie's weight.
Continued...
There have been so many direct and indirect references to Mr. Christie's size in Mr. Corzine's tv ads that, at a campaign stop yesterday, the 300 plus pound candidate took on the issue directly saying:
"I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. I know most of you didn't know this - but the governor's been whispering this to the press for months and months and months, and now he's trying to be a little cute about talking about it too through his TV ads. I want to make sure you're all seated and you're OK before I let you in on a secret: I'm overweight. And I've struggled with my weight for the better part of 30 years, up and down." (source)
Then Mr. Christie set the humor aside and got to the real point:
"And the governor somehow thinks that in a time when we have 9.8 percent unemployment, at a time when we have the highest tax burden in America, at a time when we have the highest property taxes in the United States, that that's what you wanna talk about." (source)
Mr. Christie's attitude should make all overweight third graders, all New Jersey citizens and all Americans who want a loud and clear message sent to the White House cheer.
