First President Obama expanded government investment in and control over the free market. He has engaged in out of control spending and created a deficit that generations of Americans will never be able to pay off. He is attempting to gain government control for the one seventh of our national economy that is heath care. And his next step in the "remaking of America" seems to involve taking aim at our right to free speech. How else can you explain his telling other Americans they should not voice their opinions or engage in the national dialog?

In his book The Audacity of Hope Senator Obama wrote:
"Genuine bipartisanship,” he wrote, “assumes an honest process of give-and-take, and that the quality of the compromise is measured by how well it serves some agreed-upon goal, whether better schools or lower deficits. This in turn assumes that the majority will be constrained - by an exacting press corps and ultimately an informed electorate - to negotiate in good faith." (source)
And yet last night at a fundraiser in Virginia President Obama said:
"I expect to be held responsible, but I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking." (source)
On the heels of a member of his administration asking supporters to report anything said or written they find "fishy" to the White House, there's a chilling message coming from those in power that goes way beyond standard political rhetoric.
