"No country is going to create wealth if its leaders exploit the economy to enrich themselves."
"No business wants to invest in a place where the government skims 20 percent off the top."
Anti-Obama rhetoric by the Republican leadership? Small business owners venting their frustration over Obama administration policies? Tea party protest attendees speaking to gatherings of frustrated Americans? No. These are quotes from President Barack Obama's speech today to the Ghanaian Parliament. (source)

It amazes me that this man can comfortably scold others and claim to know how things should be done when his own greed for power has pushed his country deeper into economic hardship.
In his defense, his speech did touch on the government corruption in the African nation but rather than take the opportunity to tout freedom and letting the people of Ghana have choices and control in their lives, he promoted the same vision of the nanny state he's trying to create in the United States saying "Development depends upon good governance. That is the ingredient which has been missing in far too many places, for far too long. That is the change that can unlock Africa's potential."
Ironically his speech also included a directive to the youth of Ghana to be activists in helping change society for the better saying, "You have the power to hold your leaders accountable and to build institutions that serve the people." I wonder why he couldn't say the same to the people fighting in the streets of Iran. And I wonder what he'll say when the people in his own country begin to hold him accountable.
