"We are looking to...sit down and talk to the Iranians and offer them two paths. And one brings them back into the community of nations, and the other has some very stark consequences," so says David Axelrod, President Obama's top adviser. Instead of diplomatic overture after diplomatic overture, the Iranian oppressors need to be told what those very stark consequences will be and that they are coming to a Mullah near them soon. There's only so long you can frighten off a would be attacker with a "Beware of Dog" sign before you have to actually show them the dog and your grip on the leash. But Mr. Obama and his surrogates keep waving their little sign in front of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fooling no one and showing how truly weak and incompetent this administration is when it comes to matters of state.
Ahmadinejad demands Mr. Obama apologize for showing the tiniest displeasure about the way protesters in Iran are being treated and he responds by saying the Iranian regime should "think carefully" about answers owed to protesters it has arrested, bludgeoned and killed.
