In some countries citizens wake up to learn that one individual has, by decree, changed major national policy. Evidently the United States of America has become one of those countries. Despite the fact that the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors or DREAM Act failed in Congress, the Obama administration announced today that it will not deport some illegal immigrants if they meet similar requirements to those laid out in that failed legislation.

Presidential candidate Barack Obama took a break from his jam-packed fundraising schedule this morning to squeeze in a special guest appearance as President of the United States. Almost a week after the most recent round of dismal employment reports, Mr. Obama took to the podium to make what was advertised as a statement on the economy. Not surprisingly, the event was just another stump speech from our Campaigner-in-Chief.
